About PDFly

PDFly is a free, browser-based tool for making quick edits to a PDF — adding or changing text, drawing, highlighting, dropping in a picture, or tidying up pages — without installing anything or creating an account.

Why it's free

PDFly is supported by advertising rather than subscriptions or per-file fees. There's no watermark added to your file and no limit on how many times you can use it.

Why it's private

Your PDF is opened, edited, and saved entirely inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded to a server, which means there's nothing for us to store, see, or lose — the whole editing session happens on your device.

How it works

PDFly uses open-source libraries that run directly in the browser to read and render your PDF, let you mark it up, and then rebuild the file for download. Nothing about your document ever needs to leave the page you're looking at.
