Free Kanban Board and Sticky Notes Online
Sometimes a to-do list is not enough. You want to see what is waiting, what is in progress and what is finished, or to scatter quick thoughts around a page like paper notes on a wall. PDFly's Kanban Board and Sticky Notes gives you both, with no account and nothing uploaded.
The kanban board
A kanban board is a row of columns, each holding cards. The classic set is To do, Doing and Done, and a card moves from left to right as the work progresses.
- Add cards: press Add a card, type a task and press Enter. Keep typing to add the next one.
- Move cards: drag a card to another column, or between two cards to put it in an exact position. It works with a finger as well.
- Edit: click a card to change the text. Clear the text to delete it.
- Colour: click the small dot on a card to cycle through colour stripes such as red for urgent.
- Columns: rename them, add more such as Blocked or Review, or delete the ones you do not use.
Sticky notes
Switch to the Sticky notes tab for a large canvas. Add a note, type on it, drag it by its top bar, resize it from the corner and change its colour with the dots. It suits brainstorming, meeting notes and quick reminders.
Export and back up
- Download PNG or PDF of whichever view you are on, to paste into a document or send in a message.
- Save to file keeps a backup you can open later or on another device.
- Your board is also saved automatically in your browser, so it is there when you return.
Simple ways to use it
- Study plan: a column for each subject, a card for each chapter.
- Small project: Ideas, To do, Doing and Done.
- Content calendar: columns for Draft, Review, Scheduled and Published.
- Limit work in progress: try to keep no more than three cards in Doing.
